Celebration

Last Thursday was my husband's 29th birthday, so we had a party with family and friends on Sunday after church.  It was wonderful having everyone over to help celebrate my amazing man!  I am so thankful for Paul.  Words cannot describe how crazy I am about him!  He is my best friend!

For his birthday I bought him a lime green record player.  He really wanted a motorcycle . . . but I think he was pretty excited about what he got instead. :-)  He has one record so far, the newest Black Keys, and we have listened to it about 4 times now.  He loves it!

Here are a couple pictures Paul took a week or two ago of our little babies.  I love them so much they will be framed and hanging on my wall soon!  I can't wait for him to take more of the babies all together.

Let them be little
fill their hearts with
laughter
help them grow wings
nurture their sense of wonder
inspire them to believe
love them like there's no tomorrow.

As much as we want life to slow down, it isn't going to happen.  There is no pause button.  I want to enjoy every minute -- soak in every second I have with my family.  They are my pride and joy.  The Bible says life is but a vapor, it appears for for a little time and then vanishes away.  I want to spend more time loving and laughing with the ones I love and less time being stressed and aggravated, don't you?

My husband kind of laughed when I came home with my party supplies for his party.  He said he felt like he was turning 6 again.  For me, though, I wanted to celebrate his life!  I love celebrating the ones I love!  If that means feeling like you're turning 6 again, that's OK!  I would hate if he felt too old to celebrate his life. :-)  We are only given one you know!

So celebrate the ones you love!  Celebrate the time you have while you can!  I know you won't regret it!

Happy Birthday, Titus!

Titus Colin turned 1 on October 26th!
(I know I'm behind.  I'm a horrible mother!)

His party was monster themed and the decorations and cake were adorable!  I'm thankful for Paul and his sister's art skills.  Without them I would be lost!

I enjoyed watching Titus eat his cake(s) and open his presents!  He actually paid attention to his gifts which surprised me since Zoe and Max didn't really care at that age.  He was excited, though!

Happy Birthday to my little man!  My little monster baby! =)

Happy Birthday, Max!

Max's 2nd Birthday was on Sunday, September 15th!  We celebrated the day before by taking the Birthday boy to McDonald's.  Where else?

McDonald's in itself seems like a party to little kids!  All three had a blast with their new toys and happy meals.  After that, it was time to start decorating!

I had a lot of fun decorating for Max's party!  I made these fun ninja turtle balloons!  Aren't they cute?  Actually, I got the idea from Pinterest and it worked!  Whaddya know?! ;-)

While I was decorating for the party, Paul was decorating the birthday cake!  He did an AMAZING job!  He is so talented and artistic.

Here is Max with one of his new toys!  Haha!  I love it!  He kept his mask on for a long time too!  He was swinging that stick all over the place!

Like I said, he wore that mask for a long time. :-)  He loved it!

Here is the table all decorated for Max!  We even had green slime punch...minus the slime.  Haha!

The cake was delicious!  He blew out the candles like a champ!

He had a lot of fun opening presents too!  He got a lot of great ninja turtles and superhero stuff!  He is such a boy.  He loves his new toys and is a superhero 98% of the time now.  It's adorable!  I love having a son!

I love my children so, so much.  With each birthday they have I have so much more fun with them.  They are getting older and can start holding some conversations, we play games, we sing songs...we just have a wonderful time!

Happy Birthday, Max!  Mommy and Daddy love you SO much!

Fun in the sun

I think this is the busiest summer I have ever had in my life.  It's not going to slow down any time soon either!  As you can see from the picture below...it's tiring!

Last Friday was Paul's day off so we spent the day walking, swimming, taking afternoon naps, eating pizza, and enjoying a bonfire with s'mores!  Yum!  It was a perfect, summer day!  We had a lot of fun with friends and family and I know we will be having more bonfires (and s'mores!) in the near future! :-)

Max has discovered that he can climb into Titus' crib using his toddler bed as a boost.  This is so great, right?  Not really.  But it is.  Haha!  Confused yet?

Max is such a great big brother to Titus!  He climbs in there to try to make Titus happy.  It doesn't always work...but at least he's trying!  It's kind of fun to listen to over the baby monitor.  They both gasp when they get really excited so they tend to have a gasping conversation when Max crawls over.  It's pretty funny!  Oh, and sidenote, Max has shared cereal with Titus.  So now Titus is crazy about Honey Bunches of Oats.  Thanks, Bub!

Saturday we celebrated Emilie's 7th Birthday!  It's crazy to think she's already 7..  She had a beach themed birthday party and it was a lot of fun!  All the kids had a blast!  Here's most of the kids together.  Emilie is in the middle with her Minnie Mouse ears. :-)  The girl LOVES ears.  She wears her Minnie Mouse or cat ears almost everyday.  So Auntie Grace made sure to add to her collection.
:-)  I got her elephant, zebra, and puppy dog ears plus a few other little things.  She was very happy!

Yesterday we went to church and my kids were the only kids to attend, so they got to stay up and listen to Papa preach.  During church, Zoe was designing clothes and taking pictures of them.  Ha!  She is so funny.

Tuesday night, after Paul gets off work, we will drive through the night to Everett, WA.  We will be in the state of Washington till Sunday having fun with family.  It will be a fun time!  But because we are leaving tomorrow night, I have A LOT to do today!  Packing, cleaning, getting the car ready, appointments, blah blah blah.  I guess I better get started!  Happy Monday!

Max's 1st Birthday

I know.  I know.  My son's first birthday was on the 15th of SEPTEMBER and I'm JUST NOW posting about it.  But hey, at least I'm posting about it! =)  I've been busy ok?!

As a reminder, Max's birthday fell on a Saturday which meant we were actually home and not in Bozeman for the weekend.  The morning of his birthday we took the kids to the Festival Days parade.  Festival Days is a pretty big deal for the town of Havre.  It's the biggest (if not only) parade of the year so we made sure to take the kids!  They had a blast!

The day of Max's birthday I ran all over town getting things ready for a party.  It was very much thrown together, but you know what?  It still looked great!  Max is definitely a boy in that he already makes motor sounds and drives cars on the floor/walls, so we went with a Cars theme -- even though the boy has never seen the movie.  Ha!

I loved all the colors we chose for the party.  It was very much Max!  As you can see from the pictures above, he LOVED his cake.  I hate to admit it, but he had two cupcakes.. and maybe a piece of someone else's cake..  He. Loved. Cake!

I cannot believe my son is already 1!  He is getting so big!  He is the best boy a mom could ask for.  Every morning I go to get him out of his crib and I'm greeted with the biggest smile and his arms outstretched ready for a big hug and slobbery kisses!  He is definitely a happy boy!

I am so thankful for each of my children.  They are such a joy to me -- I literally feel my heart swell with love and pride at the blessings God has given me!

Happy Birthday, Max!  Mommy and Daddy love you very, very much!

Zoe's Birthday

Birthday parties are  A LOT of work.  The party was at 7:00 and I was at my inlaw's house a little after 10:00 and literally worked the whole day up until people started showing up.  I was exhausted!  I'm so thankful for my sister-in-law helping me out with decorating the cake.  I would not have been able to do it without her.  Seriously.  I'm so thankful she was willing.

Elmo without his fur

At one point in time I wondered if I was completely crazy for throwing a party.. maybe I was, but it was SO worth it!

This was one of our games that we played. It was a lot of fun hearing everyone's guesses.  If you're interested, there were 440.

My husband is AMAZING! He drew this for me while at work.  This is not a stencil! He did it completely on his own.  I am still so amazed!

Happy Birthday banner.

Zoe and Emilie (not sure why she isn't smiling..).

A little friend of Zoe's!

Zoe insisted on Bubba playing too!

My word.. Zoe is getting so big.  I cannot believe she is 2 already!

No peeking!

This was the day after the party.  Bubba is slowly figuring out how to climb stairs! Yikes!

Like I said, the party organizing was a lot of work, but Zoe's reaction to every decoration, cupcake, present, etc. was worth it to me!  I absolutely love my children and I love being able to do special things for them.

Next month I will be planning ANOTHER Birthday -- Maximus will be turning 1.  Can you believe it?!
