It's amazing how very different two pregnancies and labors can be.
After 5 hours of natural childbirth and my doctor missing it because he shot out (literally),
Maximus Kirby was born on September 15, 2011 at 1:30 p.m.
He was 7 lbs 4 oz and 18 1/2 inches long.
Max's birth story is a crazy one. Long story short, he was born with his facing sideways instead of face down (hence the swelling and bruising) and he literally shot out of the birth canal so fast that the nurse barely caught him.
A few days later, we woke up to this little guy. He looks completely different once the swelling went down!
Zoe absolutely loves her little brother. She didn't experience much jealousy at all. Everyday Max is showered with kisses and love by Zoe, and I know that one day they will be the best of friends!
We absolutely love our little blond-haired, blue-eyed boy! Welcome to the family, Max!
