New Years Resolutions 2015

Happy New Years to one and all! I hope the year 2015 brings blessings, health, love, and laughter to each of you.

I have been thinking about the changes I would like to make in this new year. I have written them down and keep them on my smartphone so I can remind myself of them whenever I need to. Here are a few that are on my list:

Devotions with my family. I have wonderful memories of my family gathering together and us reading devotions together and even taking time to pray for our day before it starts. Now that my kids are a little older I am ready to start this routine with my babies.

Lose weight. For the past 5 years I have sacrificed my body for my children. I have experienced 5 pregnancies, 1 miscarriage, 4 births, and I have breastfed my children. My body has literally been used and abused and now it's time for me to do what I want to do! It may be a slow process, but I am working on living a healthier life and one day I hope to look and feel better than I do right now!

Organize my house. Starting Monday, January 5th I will be following Home Storage Solutions 101 (http://www.home-storage-solutions-101.com) 52-week organizing schedule. My wonderful and supportive husband scoffed when I excitedly told him about the 52 week plan. He said, "52 weeks? I could get it done in 52 days." He's a keeper. I promise. :-)

Frame more pictures. My husband and I have decided to order a new print of our children every month. We need more pictures on the walls of our amazing life!

More potted plants. This may be a silly thing to have on my list, but here it is. So far I have 2 plants in the house (one just might be dead) and I love how it transforms a room! I need more! And I need to keep them alive.

Have a garden. I planted a lot of bulbs last Fall and I really hope they bloom. Also, I would love to try my hand at a small vegetable garden. Nothing too big (yet) just a couple things to get me started.

Spend more time outside. This will happen if I have a successful garden! I also want the kids riding bikes, playing in the sprinklers, and playing with Hurley.

Save money. This may be difficult since we have two weddings to go to this year, but  Paul and I have a plan and we will make it happen!
