First off, the weekend spent in Isabel, SD at Regional Convention was GREAT!! The services and fellowship were wonderful and I look forward to the next time we get to see everyone again! I definitely left with a refreshed spirit and tons of new friends. I'll have to write more about that later..
We finally made it home around 12:30 Monday morning. I went to bed as soon as I could, but I didn't get to sleep till sometime around 1:00. 7:00 a.m. came too early and I was not ready to go to work. I made myself get out of bed, take a shower to wake up, and throw my clothes on before making it to work one minute late.
I was so tired all day.. I felt like a walking zombie. I tried to get as much done as I could to make the time go by faster. I was so ready to go home. I must have worked myself too hard because I started having strong, consistent Braxton Hicks/contractions for almost an hour. I had never felt them so strong, and because I was lightly leaking fluids they wanted to admit me into the OB for a couple hours to find out what's going on.
My cervix is closed and the mucus membranes haven't ruptured so that's good. I just need to slow down.
The only thing I was worried about was the possibility of having this baby without my mom there. That would be the worst thing that could happen- other than an unhealthy baby, you know what I mean? It was a reality check for me because I need my mother with me! Yes, I need my husband most importantly, but my mother has only seen me twice pregnant. I hate that the only way she can be involved is through pictures and phone calls.
Hopefully this is our only labor scare and the next time I'm admitted it's because I'm ready to push!
