Doctor's appointment

My second appointment was today. I was really nervous because I knew they would draw blood. I’m so thankful I have such an easy going doctor though! She puts me right at ease.

As soon as I got there they checked my blood pressure, it’s so low that she told me I’m going to live forever, and then we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat. How exciting! She immediately found the heartbeat. He was snuggled up to my placenta as close as he could be. My little snuggle bunny. :)

You want to know they exciting part, though? The baby kicked the Doppler! Dr. Lien’s eyes got big and asked me if I felt it. Unfortunately I didn’t feel it since I wasn’t paying attention, but I think I felt flutters a couple days ago. Dr. Lien said it won’t be long now till I’ll feel him running his marathon. I can’t wait!

I did great when they drew blood too! They took 3 vials of blood so I felt pretty light-headed, but the nurse did awesome at poking me and I hardly felt a thing. I just might get over this phobia before this pregnancy is over. :)

I’m so thankful that this pregnancy is going so well compared to the first one. Today has put my mind at ease and I know everything is going to be ok. God is taking care of the baby and I. I’m also scared out of my mind since this is the farthest along I’ve ever been and this is the real deal! Mind boggling!

  2. This pregnancy the specialist wanted me to have blood test for a blood clotting disorder. Just to be sure that wasn't the issue with Tirzah being born prematurely. Needless to say my eyes about popped out of my head when the lab tech counted 17 vials...yes they took 17 vials of blood. I asked her if I would be able to walk out of the place. She did a great job and praise God the tests all came back normal. What we go through for our babies :)
