I’m going to be a mother.

A nurse stopped me while I was working and said that she can tell that I’m a good, hard worker. She wanted to know what my goals were in life, hoping I didn’t plan on being a housekeeper till the day I die. I simply told her that I was going to be a mother.

The one thing I’ve wanted most in life is to be a mom. To have beautiful kids who have beautiful imaginations! Little ones that run to me when they have bruises and scratches wanting a kiss to make it better, or giving me presents of bugs caught in jars and my garden flowers. It may not pay in money, but it certainly pays in love.

Paul and I are so excited. It’s great watching my belly grow everyday. And even days like today, when I’m sick as a dog, I can’t help but have a huge smile on my face and secretly touch my belly.

So far I love this pregnancy. I just pray that God keeps His hand on the baby and I and we stay healthy and strong.

  1. Being a MOM is very rewarding... But very hard work. You work 24/7 with little sleep. You become a doctor, counselor, preacher, maid, taxi driver, etc... You don't get paid with money but when you're good at your job you get paid with what money cannot buy... I wouldn't trade it for the world.
